Happy Stimmy Dance

Join Catherine Faherty for an hour of enjoying moving your body, jumping, flapping, dancing to a variety of musical styles your way. We’ll finish with a few minutes of stillness and relaxation.

Massage Therapy or Instruction

Professional massage therapist provides massage for the entire family and instructs care givers in massage techniques to enable them to provide therapy at home.

Moving Meditation

A combination of Qigong and meditation. The group will be taken through a series of techniques designed to promote relaxation and focus, build internal energy or life force (qi, ki, prana, etc.) and hone executive functioning skills.

Parents of Children Over 16 Support Group

This group provides a safe space to discuss the joys and concerns of parenting adolescents transitioning to adulthood and young adults on the spectrum.

Pet Therapy

Guest pets including Anoushka and Kashmir (baby goats), Twiggy and Cheeto (chicks) and Anna the bunny (to name just a few) spread the love right here in the office. Pet therapy can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also increase self-esteem and improve social skills.

Clearly structured individual and relationship conversational therapy with the focus on current problems and practical solutions.

Reiki

A gentle and restorative energy technique that can be used for stress reduction or to support general well-being. The intention behind reiki is to raise the level of life force energy by bringing care and attention to the energy centers of the body as well as places in the body that can benefit from additional attention.

Social Skills Group

The group strives to improve social-relatedness and self regulation through games, art and talk.

Stop-Motion Animation Creation

By the end of each six week session, two participants will create a very short stop-action animation film. Weekly sessions will focus on identifying short and long-term goals, working memory and planning, organizational skills and breaking the project down into manageable pieces. See Student Gallery.

Tai Chi-Qigong

Tai Chi/Qigong with Todd Jensen is a great introduction to martial arts at a much gentler pace. The group will be taken through a series of techniques designed to promote relaxation and focus, build internal energy or life force (qi, ki, prana, etc.) and hone executive functioning skills.

TRAP (The Rhythmic Arts Project)

An innovative educational program teaching a wide range of subjects through percussion and drums.  TRAP’s primary objective is to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their typical peers in all aspects of everyday life.

Yoga

Each class will have gentle warm-ups, breath work, partner activities and a visualization/relaxation.

Zumba

Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Fun for everyone.
